Friendships Made Online are Real Relationships with Ana Fae Emerson

Ciao a tutti e Benvenuti!

This week, I’m thrilled to welcome my dear friend Ana Fae Emerson to the podcast. Ana and I met online through italki, where she became my English teacher—but she quickly became so much more than that. Our friendship is a testament to the idea that real, meaningful connections can begin in the digital world.

Ana wears many hats with elegance and expertise. She is the Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder of Aurum Borealis, leading a global team dedicated to turning dreams into celebrated accomplishments. As the world’s leading USA Accent Behavioral Practitioner, she has guided Fortune 500 executives, top academics, and medical professionals toward success in the American business world. Ana’s creative edge comes from her rich background in TV, radio, acting, modeling, and psychology—alongside her mastery of music and languages.

Beyond her professional accolades, Ana’s warmth, kindness, and passion for helping others shine through in everything she does. During our conversation, we share how our connection began and how our friendship grew, showing that even across continents, friendships forged online can be as real and fulfilling as those made in person.

Want to know how to connect with Ana? Visit her website or reach out to her on italki to set up a consultation.

Hello! I am Cristina, the owner of Healthy Italia and a native Italian who moved to the United States in 2014.

My original plan was to stay in the U.S for six months working in an internship while improving my English language skills. After being offered a full-time accounting job, I decided to stay but I followed the advice of my father to pursue “something else” outside of a 9-5 job. Healthy Italia is my “something else”!

The original idea was to open a retail store that would sell imported goods from small Italian producers. Today Healthy Italia has evolved into a retail store with an attached cooking school, where we instruct students in live cooking classes, teaching them how to prepare traditional Italian dishes from scratch.

My mantra is that everyone can create a delicious dish from a few simple ingredients.

Thank you for joining me on this journey!
